If you’ve ever planned a wedding, you know how quickly the calendar fills up. As an officiant, I’ve been reminded of this often, especially this year. November has been incredibly popular for weddings here in Florida, and I’ve already had to turn away several couples because those dates were booked far in advance.

Here’s the truth: weekends go the fastest. Saturdays and Sundays disappear like top-shelf booze at an open bar! And because I only officiate one wedding per day, my schedule is even more limited than some other vendors. I make that choice because I want to give each couple my full attention, without rushing from one celebration to another. But it also means that once your date is reserved, it’s gone. Poof! like Cinderella’s carriage at midnight.

Couples are also planning further ahead than ever. My 2026 calendar is already filling up, and I’ve even booked a few weddings for 2027!
